FAQ

Common questions.

If yours isn't here, the fastest path is the 15-minute consult, that's what it's for.

How long are sessions?

+
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Intake sessions are typically a bit longer, about 75 minutes, so we have time to walk through your readout and design a plan together.

Do you take insurance?

+
Not yet. I'm currently in the credentialing process with several Georgia panels. If insurance coverage matters for you, the best move is to set up a brief consult or check back here, what's accepted will change as panels finish credentialing.

What's the fee?

+
Currently private pay. Standard 50-minute sessions are $150. The initial intake session (75 minutes) is $200. Superbills are available for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Request a FREE 15-Minute Consult →

Where do you see clients?

+
In-person from my office in Chestnut Mountain, GA on Mondays and Fridays. Telehealth across all of Georgia on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What is the Wilder Method?

+
It's a framework I helped develop for reaching the primal, instinctual self, the layer underneath thoughts and behaviors. I practice as a Georgia-licensed LPC and integrate it with my training in family systems and CBT.

Do I have to take an assessment first?

+
Not required, but most clients find it helpful. The free Instinctual Drive Readout takes about 12-15 minutes and gives us a shared map for the first conversation. The full 6 Sides of You assessment is included with therapy.

How long do most people work with you?

+
Programs are typically structured around six to eight weeks of focused work, with a reassessment at the end. Many clients continue beyond that with maintenance sessions or a deeper round; some finish cleanly. It's designed, not open-ended.

How quickly do you reply to messages?

+
Within one business day, every time. For anything urgent or clinical between sessions, please use 911 or 988.

Do you work with teenagers?

+
Yes, teens 13–18, for anxiety and related patterns (perfectionism, avoidance, school stress, people-pleasing). Parents are involved from the first call. See For Teens & Parents.

Will you tell me what my teen says in session?

+
We agree on this together before starting, you, your teen, and me. Your teen gets a confidential space (that's what makes therapy work), you stay as involved as you and your teen are comfortable with, and you get regular updates on direction and progress. Anything involving safety comes to you immediately.

My teen doesn't want to go. Now what?

+
Common, and workable. Start with the free parent call, no teen required. Reluctant teens often come around when they learn the first session is a conversation about what matters to them, and nobody's going to make them talk about anything before they're ready. Some teens prefer a parent in the room at first; that's fine too.

Does my teen need my consent?

+
In Georgia, yes, a parent or guardian consents to counseling for anyone under 18. That's built into the intake.

Still curious?

Fifteen minutes, free. We'll figure out together if this is the right fit.
